I am hanging my head in shame. This ICLW was not a good example of my love and devotion to all of my blogger friends. I was incredibly lame this time around. For that, I apologize. Work has been really busy, as I gear up for conferences at the end of next week. That means by the time I get home from work, pay some bills, cook dinner, and return a few emails, I am COMPLETELY pooped. Like, the couch has an imprint of my ass.
Seriously, I feel like a 31 year old in the body of a 60 year old. I can't believe that in the not too distant past I was working out 4 days a week. How did I actually make that happen? I am starting to wonder if I need to get my vitamin levels checked, or something.
In better news, after several back and forth phone calls with my RE's office, I got my Lupron start date for IVF #2. Apparently, although I left 3 different voicemails with the dates of my upcoming trip to California (visiting my family), they ignored the dates and screwed up the scheduling at first. Today, it finally got straightened out.
So, this is the deal:
• I'll do an ultrasound to check for cysts right before I go to CA (sometime around the 12th - need to schedule tomorrow)
• I start Lupron the day after I get back, on March 21
• baseline ultrasound for IVF purposes on March 27
• hopefully, I'll start stims that evening
Looks like retrieval the 2nd week of April...so close, yet so far. I am SO ready.
Anyone else cycling in March/April? Let's start a cheerleading team.
HRF - I will cheer you on as you go on this next journey. Hoping for lots of success for you and the mister. Cheer me on - I am an oldie on my own w/o the doctors help, but you know that, we'll just squeak into March I am thinking. My best to you, your eggies and what the future holds. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteBTW: Have a safe and fun trip visiting.
What fantastic news! Come on March :)
ReplyDeleteSo happy that you got this all set up! Excited for you!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this!! There's something so fitting and perfect about IVF #2 being just on the cusp of Spring.
ReplyDeleteI'll be cheering you on! Come on March!!
ReplyDeleteI have yet to get my calendar (waiting on AF), but I am thinking that the transfer itself will be the third week of April for me. I would love to have a buddy as I know I will be a wreck.
ReplyDeleteI think we will transfer one of our frozen blasty's in April so I will be cheering you on!!!! Don't worry - time will fly. April will be here before we know it. In the meantime, just enjoy CA and being with your family. :-)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you have your IVF start dates. I totally relate to being a slacker ICLWer--me, too. Work/exhaustion keeps getting in the way. I'm sorry you've been so busy and hope it lets up after the conferences!
ReplyDeleteHi, I am a new person around here but I wanted to say that I will likely be cycling at the same time as you! We just did our first IUI ever (injectables) on Jan 31st, turned out to be a chemical. :-/ Taking a break right now but if all goes normally, I should be starting stims the last week of March, right around the 26, 27, like you! Bring on the cheerleading!
ReplyDeleteI really hope that this cycle will prove fruitful. I'm hoping that again you have many eggs and that this time at least half fertilize. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteNice! It always feels better once the calendar is set. Where in Cali will you be??? I'm in NorCal.
ReplyDeleteYay for a schedule! April is a good month :-)
ReplyDeleteGood luck! Keeping everything crossed for you - this cycle will be it!
ReplyDeleteYES! You have dates! Hoping and praying this cycle it it! Have a great trip!
ReplyDeleteHooray for a schedule! I'm so happy for you!
ReplyDeleteMy Mazel of the week goes to YOU :) And you and I BOTH need to get past this 'maybe I have mono....' anti-energy thing going on. Perhaps together.
ReplyDeleteI need a like button!
DeleteIt would appear I'll be cycling with you as well. Got the green light for an April transfer at today's appointment :)
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm a new follower, just found you on the March ICLW list :) I'll be starting my stims for IVF #3 on Apr 13 so I'll be sure to cheer you on prior to my cycle starting! :)
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog through Stirrup Queens and we are on the SAME schedule and both on IVF #2 with Lupron. Also when I checked out your TTC timeline it is VERY similar, with one pregnancy in summer of 2010 (ours was an Ectopic though). Sending up prayers for you now! I start my Stims on 3/30.
